Scouts of the Red Beret

Hiking scouts under the sky
No one needs to ask them why,
Trained and shaped by Nature's hand
America salutes the gallant band.

Dressed in khaki, they stand the test
They are Scouts, America's best,
They are prepared for the worst today
The Scouts who wear the red beret.

The Brazos Valley is their domain
In summer's sun or winter's rain,
From the split on Kyle to the Tintop span
A rugged land fit for a man.
